Bonner County Daily Bee to run Final Four challenge again

The Bonner County Daily Bee will hold a Final Four challenge once again. Although the entry cost is free, the winner will receive $100 cash.
Wondering how to get in on the action?
Simple.
Email your Final Four picks, championship game match-up and final score to kcajero@bonnercountydailybee.com.
There’s still time to join, but you have to hurry. Picks need to be sent to me before 10 a.m.
Throughout the course of the tournament, I will be writing periodic recaps of the contest’s standings here in the Daily Bee.
In the spirit of journalistic transparency, I’m going to reveal my Final Four picks: Michigan State, Nevada, Villanova and North Carolina, with Tar Heels beating the Spartans 81-77.
So why these teams?
If I have to pick an ACC team in the Final Four, I’m want Nassir Little and the Tar Heels to make it. Speaking of guards, Michigan State junior Cassius Winston can singlehandedly carry the Spartans out of the first weekend for the first time since 2015.
Meanwhile out west, Nevada is my sentimental Final Four pick. Eric Musselman’s experienced, transfer-heavy squad has the depth to beat Gonzaga — if they don’t succumb to iso-heavy basketball and lackadaisical defense.
As for the South region, my goodness. This region is borderline unwatchable. Nojel Eastern, Purdue’s best player, can’t shoot. Kansas State is going to get upset by UC Irvine. That Virginia-Wisconsin Sweet 16 game is going to set the game of basketball back 50 years. Since I am not ready to trust Rick Barnes in March, I’m picking Villanova team to get hot at the right time.
Although in all likelihood, Duke is going to win it all behind Zion Williamson, who is just Antoine Walker with a million Instagram followers. And since we don’t deserve nice things, we’ll probably be treated to a Duke-North Carolina championship game (and the ensuing east coast media circus).
Nevertheless, best of luck in the Final Four challenge, and I hope you enjoy the best three weeks in sports.
