Hachimura named NABC first team All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Gonzaga junior forward Rui Hachimura was named first-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Tuesday.
Hachimura is the third Zag to earn first team honors by the NABC.
Former Zags Adam Morrison and Kelly Olynyk were tabbed first team All-American by the NABC in 2005-06 and 2012-13. Nigel Williams-Goss was the last GU player recognized, earning second team honors in 2016-17.
Also named to the first team were freshman forwards RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson of Duke, sophomore guard Ja Morant of Murray State and junior forward Grant Williams of Tennessee.
Top-seeded Gonzaga (32-3) faces fourth-seeded Florida State (29-7) in the West Regional semifinals Thursday at 4:09 p.m. on CBS.
