Businesses attend a membership orientation with the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce.

The Post Falls Chamber of Commerce has launched its 2019 Super Scholarship Raffle campaign, the fourth year of the program which provides an educational opportunity of a lifetime to one lucky winner.

But really … the community as a whole will receive a gift. Proceeds from the ticket purchase go back into the community through educational and leadership programs developed by the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce.

For the past three years, the Super Scholarship Raffle has been a partnership between the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce and North Idaho College, Lewis Clark State College and the University of Idaho. New this year is the addition of two new institutions — Boise State University and Idaho State University. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold — $50 each.

Tuesday, April 16, Connect 4 Lunch Meeting: We are honored to welcome new director for Idaho Department of Labor, Jani Revier, as our keynote speaker.

Friday, April 12 is the 11th annual Hard Hats, Hammers & Hotdogs: Not familiar with this event? Our area high schools juniors and seniors get a hands-on tour of the many vocational careers offered by KTEC and PTEC — welding and diesel mechanics to operating heavy pieces of equipment to hands-on demonstrations by the health programs. Nearly 1,000 students get a better idea of the fields they might want to pursue.

Tuesday, April 23: CEO Speakers Series presented by Idaho Central Credit Union. We are honored to have Warren Merritt, Kootenai County Fire & Rescue’s chief, as our keynote speaker.

Wednesday, April 24 is our Community Business Fair: Thank you to our Grand Sponsor, Northwest Specialty Hospital. This is a wonderful event to promote commerce in our community with 90+ businesses under one roof. Awards will be given for: Best Booth, Marketing Guru, Most Creative and Best Food. Free and open to the public from 4-7 p.m.

Looking ahead…

- 27th Annual Greater Post Falls Golf Tournament, Friday, June 14 at the Links — 1 p.m. shotgun start.
