Young gymnast wins in competition

BONNERS FERRY — Several Bonners Ferry girls attended the State Gymnastics Championship in Hailey, Idaho.
Eva Willis is a 9-year-old gymnast who has been training at the STEP Training Center in Sandpoint. She recently competed and won all around at the State Gymnastics Championship in Xcel Junior Gold Division, bringing home medals for State Champion in the Gold Division.
Willis competed against about 80 other competitors from around Idaho, and she is currently in fourth grade at Mt. Hall Elementary School.
Her scores were as follows: Beam: 8.925; Bars: 9.450; Floor: 9.325; Vault: 9.050
Another gymnast from Bonners Ferry attending the event was Reece Lierman, who won Bronze level. All four scores were added together to determine winners.
