HEMP: Rebutting the CEO
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 6 years, 9 months AGO
Self-appointed “CEO” Joel Bordeaux’s letter of March 24 was directed to Governor Little and others as a marketing tool. He discusses the pros of CBD oil and hemp, both bi-products of the marijuana plant. He claims that “we have helped thousands of people” with CBD oil, etc., using the safe word “organic.”
I find it curious: How did Bordeaux’s company manage to get the hemp product to his “Sandpoint” business from Oregon for three years? Historically, 1. States started with the industry pushing HEMP/CBD oil; 2. “for medical purposes” with zero proof of a cure for anything; 3. Then the old adage of marijuana is no worse than alcohol!; 4. Let’s legalize “for personal usage;” and 5. Pot stores take over the tattoo parlors!
We have accepted claims from the left that marijuana “is no worse than alcohol.” The claims of it helping those with cancer/cataracts have not been substantiated except from users who want to stay high! The black market will continue to grow. The state pot store purveyors charge higher prices in order to pay the tax that the state will levy. Look at Washington state. The approval of alcohol sales; taxes are “higher” than a pot smoker!
Bordeaux’s comments are a self-serving promotion of the legalization of marijuana in Idaho. Nowhere does he mention the potential side effects. He claims, “HEMP is NOT marijuana?” Hemp does have minuscule amounts of THC (0.03 according to the experts). The pushers are salivating at the revenue prospects! Is there physical harm to humans? Colorado has increased crime. The legalization of marijuana has not decreased the black market crime. Prices are lower than the highly taxed state pot stores!
Dr. Marc Seigel, a Fox consultant who has consulted on many medical issues, claimed recently that marijuana usage increases the user’s chances of developing anxiety, psychosis and psychotic disorders. Add episodes of paranoia schizophrenia! Do we really need less motivated workers? Maybe Bordeaux should write our state leaders, warning them of the physical and mental impact instead of “unshackling the farmers” and trying to slide legalizing pot under the guise of CBD oil/hemp!
The recently introduced HB 122, a big NO!
