If Friday’s Lakeland Invitational on the boys side is any indication, it will be a fun day of golf Monday at the 5A Region 1 tournament.
Coeur d’Alene’s Brayden Ogle shot a 1-under 72 to lead the Vikings to the team title at The Links Golf Club in Post Falls.
“I was really proud of Brayden today,” Coeur d’Alene coach Bryan Duncan said. “He’s been struggling a bit at times this season, and went under today. He really won us the tournament today because Lake City (which finished second with a 315) was right on our heels. It was good for Brayden and I’m proud of him. It’s a good momentum win for us going into regionals, because Post Falls (which finished fourth with a 320) is right there too.”
Cameron Johnson paced Lake City with a 75.
“We put up solid numbers in a tuneup for regionals on Monday,” Lake City boys coach Troy Anderson said.
Bryden Brown of Moscow was boys medalist with a 69.
Lewiston’s Allison MacMillen shot an 82 to lead the Bengal girls to the team title in the girls tournament at Twin Lakes Village.
