Naples man arrested on firearm charges

BONNERS FERRY — A Naples man was arrested for firearm related charges on May 1. Following an investigation by Boundary County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, the Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant, which resulted in the arrest of Doug Elliston.
Elliston was charged with unlawful possession of firearms while being a convicted felon.
According to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, charges are pending for Elliston, for being in possession of a stolen firearm, as well as possessing two firearms with obliterated serial numbers.
On April 24, Elliston was also indicted by a federal grand jury on 12 firearm related charges, and was arrested on the Federal charges on May 1, before being transported to the Kootenai County Jail.
