Polson, Ronan softball get ready for final stretch

The Polson High School softball is entering the final stretch of their regular season manufacturing runs.

The Lady Pirates’ softball team in the previous three games, continues to rack up double-digit run production, in the team’s recent victories over Flathead, and Corvallis.

Polson has combined to generate a total of 29 runs, in the last two games, outscoring their opponents 29-1.

In the Lady Pirates recent victory over Flathead, in which they won 19-1 in four innings, they scattered 14 hits.

Josie Caye was 3-for-4, with four RBIs, Kaylanna DesJarlais was 4-of-5, with two RBIs, Paige Noyes was 2-for-5, including a home run, Kallie Finkbeiner was 3-for-3, with a home run, and Lauren Vergeront was 2-for-3. Noyes and Lexy Orien had three RBIs each. Finkbeiner had two RBIs, and Vergeron, Kobbey Smith, Grace Quinones, and Sydney Olson, each contributed with an RBI.

Polson shutout Corvallis

Polson High School pitcher Lauren Vergeront finished the Lady Pirates 10-0 victory over Corvallis allowing only three hits in the six-inning win Friday afternoon at Polson High School.

The Pirates gave Vergeront plenty of run-support racking up a total of 10 hits en route to the 10-0 shutout of the Blue Devils.

Josie Caye got a double, and a home run, Kaylanna DesJarlais finished the game with two doubles, Lexi Orien and Savannah Carpentier both had home runs. DesJarlais led the team with four RBIs, Caye had two RBIs, and Carpentier finished the victory with an RBI.

Maidens drop two of three

The Ronan High School softball team dominated Browning from the opening pitch to capture a 16-1 victory over Browning Monday afternoon at Ronan High School.

Ronan produced a total of 21 hits in the game. Macao Jackson, Brooklyn Kennelty, Julia Daley, Miller, Clairmont, Ashley Welker, Big Beaver, and Mahkuk all finished with multiple hits in the victory.

The Maidens couldn’t sustain the offensive momentum they establish with a 10-6 loss to the Bitterroot Home Educators Tuesday afternoon at Ronan High School.

Emilie Corley, who has 2-for-3 led Ronan, and Macao Jackson was 2-for-4, collecting a total of three RBIs.

Columbia Falls 10, Ronan 7

The Ronan softball team continues to try to improve, as they hope to punch their ticket to an MHSA state high school title with a 10-7 loss to Columbia Falls.

In the loss, the Maidens finished with three top hitters including Emilie Corley, who was 2-for-4, with an RBI, Macao Jackson was 2-for-4, and Ashley Welker was 2-for-3, with four RBIs in the loss.
