Four injured in chain-reaction motorcycle crash

ROSE LAKE — The four people transported to Kootenai Health due to an accident on westbound Interstate 90 on Saturday afternoon have been treated and released.

According to Idaho State Police, the crash involving multiple motorcycles at 2:51 p.m. occurred at milepost 34 near the Rose Lake interchange.

Patrick J. Donovan, 69, Spokane Valley, ran off the roadway as he was traveling westbound, an ISP press release states. As Donovan came back onto the roadway, he collided with a motorcycle driven by Albert G. Galli, 72, Post Falls.

The third motorcyclist, Brian K Cichowicz, 46, Spokane, then hit Galli causing a chain reaction.

All three drivers and the passenger of Cichowicz's motorcycle, Martina Hernandez, 50, Cheney, were all wearing helmets and riding gear.

The roadway was blocked for nearly two hours.
