WARMING: One-sided stories only

Much promotion is made regarding “global warming,” but it’s not debated because opposition is not allowed publicity. A web search for “global warming censorship” brings up almost innumerable sites.

NBC’s Anne Thompson on the Dec. 12, 2007, Nightly News said, “They [penguins] are charismatic, endearing and in serious trouble.” She didn’t include any disagreement. Most network news shows didn’t include any other point of view even though hundreds of scientists have expressed skepticism of manmade climate change theory.

John Stossel of ABC did numerous stories on media’s one-sidedness.

Speaking on a journalism panel on April 30, reporter Somini Sengupta emphasized, “What we don’t do is engage in a false debate. We don’t turn to the three climate science deniers on every story.” She said the job of the “Times climate team” was “to make it compelling, … rich, … [and] personal.” She didn’t say it was her job “to make it truthful and verifiable.”

Generally any anti-Christian person, group, organization or government will not want facts contrary to their beliefs. That’s true for Muslims, homosexuals, pro-choicers, and, as here, those promoting climate change. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of the press from government, but the media, being non-governmental, can distort, ignore, lie or otherwise keep information from the public. Receiving information from alternate media is our only recourse.
