VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Derek Bayley of Rathdrum tied for 16th Sunday in his Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada) debut, the Canada Life Open.

Bayley shot 71-68-68-69—276, 12 under par, at Point Grey Golf and Country Club. He earned $3,200.

Jake Knapp won the tournament, shooting a 21-under 267 for a two-shot victory. He earned $36,000.

Bayley, 23, who starred at Lakeland High and Washington State, qualified for the Mackenzie Tour earlier this month.

In January, he qualified for PGA Tour Latinoamerica. He has played in four events on that tour, making one cut — an 11th-place finish at a tournament in Santiago, Chile, where he earned $4,375.

The Mackenzie Tour continues this week in Victoria, B.C.

PGA Tour Latinoamerica has its final tourney of the first half of the season this week, then takes a break for the winter.
