For some athletes, signing a National Letter of Intent to compete in college is the next step in a pro career, a way to pay tuition, or a ticket out of a tumultuous hometown.

For Sandpoint forward-turned-defender Tyler Moore, it’s a lifelong dream fulfilled.

The senior signed with nearby North Idaho College, putting the finishing touches on a promising high school career.

Sandpoint soccer players are no stranger to North Idaho College. Moore will join former teammates Christian Dressel (‘18) and Mac Stultz (‘18) on the Cardinals’ roster next year.

The senior fielded several offers from Division II and III schools before making his final decision to attend NIC this fall.

Moore would like to thank his former coaches and mentors ranging from his father Ryan Moore, to coaches Chris Bock, Adam Tajan and Evan McNeley.

This past fall, Moore was one of five seniors on a Sandpoint team that finished 7-6 overall and 4-0 in league play. Before being moved to defense full-time, Moore scored his lone goal against Lakeland on Sept. 4. Moore also made the 4A District 1 All-league team for his efforts.
