Emerge, a community arts organization, will be hosting its sixth annual Pop-Up Show on Friday, June 7, from 5 p.m. to midnight.

It's a unique, one-night-only art party, featuring dozens of local artists along with live performances from local acts. Each year the show takes over a downtown Coeur d’Alene location, transforming the space with interactive art installations, performance spaces and local artist submissions. This year’s venue, a three-story building at 524 Sherman Ave., recently hosted Great Floors corporate offices and previously served as a former Masonic Temple.

“We are very excited for the venue we will be using this year,” said Emerge founder Jeni Hegsted. “Along with the 60-plus artists and 15 performance groups, we have invited a handful of artists to do individual takeovers of various 12-by-12 rooms. This year’s space provides even more unique avenues for interactive and performance art than ever before.”

The Emerge Pop-Up Show is an engaging and stand-out experience for the community. By showcasing up-and-coming artists, along with interactive art, film, music and poetry, the event is a unique way for attendees to experience a variety of mediums converging in one location. In addition, the show features food vendors, a beer and wine garden and onsite screen printing so attendees can take home souvenirs from the evening.

The show is free and open to all ages, with Great Floors as the premier sponsor. Local sponsors also include Mountain Madness Soap Co., the Crown and Thistle, Qualfon and H2A. Other contributors include Honey, Paragon Brewing, Midtown Bluebird and Vine and Olive. A no-host bar is supported by donations from local businesses, wineries and this year’s sponsors. The proceeds from the show benefit the Emerge community arts program.
