Following a year off, the Christ Kitchen crews are refreshed and dishing up plates to the community again.
Launched in 2003, Christ Kitchen has served members of Libby a warm meal on the last Wednesday of every month for the past 15 years, excluding 2018.
Christ Kitchen members said the meals are scheduled for the last week of the month “when people might be experiencing more month than money.”
The brief hiatus was brought to a close on Wednesday when Christ Kitchen members gathered once again to serve meals to the community.
With a goal of providing a meal to those in need of a little help, Christ Kitchen plans to serve plates once a month from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The next slated dinners out of Christ Lutheran Church are Nov. 20 and Dec. 18.
Christ Kitchen members added that, “even if finances are not an issue, all are welcome to come and have a warm meal with your Libby neighbors.”
