Idaho drops opener at Oklahoma State

Idaho managed just 15 first-half points in a 62-47 season-opening loss to Oklahoma State on Tuesday at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla.

Lizzy Klinker led the Vandals with 14 points, and freshman Beyonce Bea had 10 rebounds.

Guard Allison Kirby, a junior from Timberlake High, had three points and nine rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench for Idaho.

Natasha Mack had 11 points and 14 rebounds for Oklahoma State.

Idaho plays host to Colorado State next Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Memorial Gym in its home opener.

Washington State 85, Pepperdine 48: At Pullman, Bella Murekatete, the Genesis Prep standout, had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals in 14 minutes as the Cougars rolled past the Waves in the season opener for both at Beasley Coliseum.

Borislava Hristova scored 23 point in 24 minutes for Washington State, which outscored Pepperdine 43-21 in the second half.

No. 3 Stanford 92, Eastern Washington 27: At Stanford, Calif., Francesca Belibi had 12 points and 15 rebounds in helping Stanford win its 21st consecutive home opener, beating Eastern Washington.

Kennedy Dickie had seven points and five rebounds for Eastern Washington.
