The U.S. Highway 2 bridge over the South Fork of the Flathead River will be dedicated to Flathead County veterans who have been killed in action.
Montana Sen. Dee Brown sponsored Senate Bill 365 in the last legislative session calling for the memorial and dedication.
The dedication will take place on Nov. 11, Veterans’ Day, at 2 p.m. at the turnout located 500 feet west of the bridge on the south side of Highway 2.
The public is invited to attend. Signs will be installed marking the bridge as a veterans memorial structure as well as the plaque, which will be designed for future names if need be.
