Cardinals finish perfect run through East Region

ONTARIO, Ore. — Journey Tupea had 20 kills and 12 digs for North Idaho College in a 25-21, 25-13, 25-20 sweep of the Treasure Valley Chukars on Friday, finishing 16-0 in Northwest Athletic Conference play.

Taylor Foster had nine kills, Lake City High product Chloe Knudson seven kills and nine digs, Kynzey Mitzel 13 digs and Hokulea Vargas 37 assists for NIC (27-3), which is idle until the NWAC Championships Nov. 21-24 at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center.

Jessica Whiteley had nine kills for Treasure Valley (21-14, 11-5), which also advanced to the conference tournament after finishing third in the East Region.
