A number of seats were filled on local city councils in the Nov. 5 election.

In Polson’s Ward 3 City Commissioner race, Carolyn Pardini claimed a four-year term with 210 votes. Challenger Zoerene Gembala had 72 votes.

In Ronan, for Ward 3 City Council, Julie E. Moore won a four-year term with 55 votes. Elizabeth A. Avila had 23 votes.

In St. Ignatius, two seats were up for election for city council. Daren Incashcola had 82 votes and Raymond A. Frey had 72. Pamela Thompson was third with 39.

Polson woman pleads not guilty to homicide

Danielle Jeanette Wood pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide during a video arraignment Tuesday before Lake County District Court Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher at the Sanders County Courthouse in Thompson Falls. Wood is charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of Thompson Falls resident Matthew LaFriniere in May 2018.
