Former Wildkat athlete Cydney Finberg-Roberts was named the NAIA National Women’s Volleyball Setter of the Week Nov. 12 after having an outstanding performance in the University of Providence’s loss to Rocky Mountain College Nov. 9.
Finberg-Roberts set a new Frontier Conference assists record with 75 in the Argos’ narrow five-set loss against the Bears and also recorded a double-double with 14 digs in the contest.
The redshirt sophomore won back-to-back state volleyball titles with the Wildkats in 2015 and 2016 and also helped lead Columbia Falls to a state basketball title in 2017.
She is the Columbia Falls school record holder in assists, aces, digs and kills.
Finberg-Roberts has recorded 10 double-doubles with assists and digs for the Argos this season, including a 64-assist, 13-dig performance in a five-set win over Iowas’s Grand View College in October.
The Argos recently won the Frontier Conference championship and will enter the NAIA national tournament Dec. 3 as the 17th seed of 32 teams.
