Bean & Pie outlet open in downtown Cd'A

Thanksgiving pies will be available for pickup on a first-come, first-served basis from 7-10 a.m. on Thanksgiving through the new Bean & Pie outlet in Evans Brothers Coffee at 504 E. Sherman.
The downtown pickup includes flavors of huckleberry, cran raspberry, salted caramel apple, pecan and crumpkin (classic pumpkin with crumb).
Katy and Ethan Bean offer pies and specialties for weddings and events and also will have classes. Evans Bros. is in the rear of the First Interstate Bank building off Fifth Street. Check www.beanandpie.com.
Evans Jones Investments opens on East Sherman
Offering certified financial planning, Doug Rupiper and Rick Grebil have a new Edward Jones Investments office in Suite 107 of the Sandalwood Business Center building at 2115 E. Sherman Ave. With retirement planning for individuals and small businesses, their offices moved from 211 Coeur d’Alene Ave.
Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and evenings and Saturday by appointment. The Edward Jones company has more than 13,000 branch offices with its headquarters in St. Louis.

Jerome Pollos Photography moves to East Sherman
With 24 years in the field, Jerome Pollos Photography is now in Suite 106 of Sandalwood Business Center at 2115 E. Sherman Ave.
Pollos offers creative portraiture, candid wedding photography and brand-specific commercial photography. Moving from Hayden, his hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and by appointment.

Northwest Artists offer seasonal mall store
Sixteen artists and crafters from North Idaho will open their co-op store across from the food court in Silver Lake Mall this Friday.
The monthlong pop-up store offers handmade items from furniture, mosaic glasswork, eclectic wind chimes and birdhouses to candles, jewelry, guitar lamps, soaps and hand-painted items to unique gift ideas.
It will be open regular mall hours through Dec. 26.

- A new building for Idaho Central Credit Union is under construction at 1327 W. Appleway.
- Bi-Mart will open a new store in the former Stein’s Family Foods building at 16102 N. Highway 41 in Rathdrum.

- The former Burger King building at 216 Appleway has been sold to another fast-food vendor. Rumors are it’s Carl’s Jr., which would move.
- The new Hardwick Hardware is under construction at 3820 E. Mullan in Post Falls.
- A new place in the northeast corner of U.S. 95 and Lancaster will be a Golden Glo Coffee Shop.
- Watch for an interesting development just north of the Government Way Safeway. The developers already have put in a cool water feature and evidently plan to have a coffee stand, car lot and rock shop.

- Black Friday gets its name from retailers’ finances making profit (being in the positive black rather than the negative red) from the big holiday sales the day after Thanksgiving.
