At Ronan last Tuesday, the Mission Valley held their annual volleyball all-star gathering to culminate the end of the season.
Northwest A representation included a trio of Ronan Maidens and a tandem of Polson Lady Pirates. Western B teams included a pair from the District 7B Mission Lady Bulldogs along with the Bigfork Valkyries and a trio from the District 6B Arlee Scarlets.
Western C squad representation included a senior set of players from both the District 14C Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat and the Charlo Lady Vikings. The designated visitors may have officially won the match 3-0, but most would concur that all of them are winners.

Pirate plaque preference Burger-larized by Bulldogs
At Smith Fields in Whitefish for the 2018 State A boys soccer championship, the Polson Pirates and the Northern A conference champion Bulldogs would put on quite a show in an energetic quest to claim the coveted state A crown last Saturday. This would be just the third foray to the championship match in the history of the Pirate boys’ soccer program, who hoped that the idiomatic expression “third time’s a charm” would play out in Polson’s favor.
Scarlets have new coach; Mission returns four starters
The 2018-19 rendition of the Arlee Scarlets have to be rated as within the scope of a reloading phase given that the lion’s share of their offensive firepower returns along with further infusion from the transfer of Louetta Conko-Camel.
