Shiffrin sets another mark — Mikaela Shiffrin broke the legendary Ingmar Stenmark’s long-standing slalom victory record this week in Levi, Finland. She put a healthy 1.78 seconds on the field, en route to her 41st World Cup Slalom win.

The winner at Levi also receives a reindeer. Shiffrin added a second to what might someday become a domesticated herd. Paula Moltzen finished 20th and was the only other U.S. racer in the points.

The women resume action with Giant Slalom and Slalom in Killington, Vermont next week. Our strong men’s speed group kicks off their season at Lake Louise, Canada this weekend.
