Kathleen V. Nelson Pollard, 64
Kathleen V. Nelson Pollard, age 64, passed away suddenly, due to natural causes on Monday Sept. 23, 2019, in Spokane, Wash. Kathleen was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Patricia F. Thomson and Robert O. Nelson. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Jeffery B. Nelson and grandparents, Eva Knutson, Helen B. Nelson and David J. Thomson. She is survived by her son, James E. Pollard of Spokane, Wash.; mother and stepfather, Patricia F. Thomson-Perry and husband, Wallace of Athol, Idaho; sister, Peggy M. (Tim) Turrell of Post Falls; brother, Gregory J. Nelson of Rathdrum, Idaho and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Kathleen attended grade school at St. Thomas and high school at I.H.M for her freshman year until the school closed in 1971. She then attended Coeur d’Alene High School, where she was on the school drill team (the Vikettes). After high school, she moved to Nashville, Tenn. She returned to Coeur d’Alene and married Steve Pollard and they had their son, James. Kathy later divorced Steve and eventually moved to Spokane.
