Whitefish golfers take gold, silver at Western Divisional

The Bulldogs had two individual champions and one team title at the Western A Golf Divisional Tournament at King Ranch Golf Course on Thursday.
Ella Shaw and Cameron Kahle won the girls and boys individual titles for Whitefish.
Shaw came out on top in a one-hole playoff, after tying with Corvallis’ Macee Greenwood with an 85.
Anyah Cripe, Megan Archibald and Anna Elm also finished in the top 10.
The team took first overall, ahead of second-place Corvallis and third-place Frenchtown.
On the boys side, Kahle won with a seven-stroke lead over Tristan Hanson of Hamilton. Kahle finished with a 72.
Johnny Nix also took seventh for Whitefish.
As a team, the boys took second behind Hamilton.
The top 30 players will go on to compete at the state tournament in Laurel on Oct. 3-4.
