PLUMMER — Clark Fork volleyball took down Lakeside in three sets Tuesday night to improve to 6-0 in league play.

The Lady Cats won 25-23, 25-16, 25-14.

Clark Fork escaped with a five-set victory over Lakeside earlier this season at home, but the Lady Cats went on the road Tuesday and shut down their opponent.

“The first game was a little tougher,” Clark Fork head coach Michelle Valliere said. “We kind of came out a little intimidated and worried because the last time we went to five and we really wanted to win so we weren’t talking as much, we still played good but we weren’t talking as much, and then in the second and third games we really picked up our talking and our moving and our momentum.”

Freshman setter Paige Valliere led Clark Fork with 28 assists and senior outside hitter Ellie Kiebert bolstered the offensive attack with 12 kills.

Senior libero Aleehia Valliere added 11 digs and senior outside hitter Abbie Anderson served three aces in the match.

Senior Sophie McMahon rounded the Lady Cats top performers with three blocks.

Michelle Valliere said everyone played well and it was a total team effort.

“Some of the other girls you don’t hear about as much ... every time they went in they were working hard passing balls, hitting balls or talking to adjust coverage. Everyone was just doing everything they needed to do tonight.”

The Lady Cats (7-1) return home to face Wallace 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
