Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is proud to announce that Caroline Roby-Blanchard, RN, CRNI has joined her partner, Devenne Leiss, RN, CRNI as one of the few certified infusion nurses in the region.

Caroline traveled to Spokane Sept. 5 where she passed her certification test. She is now a Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion (CRNI).

Infusion certification pertains to a wide assortment of medical infusion, chemotherapy, blood transfusion, fluid and electrolyte replacement, TPN, and central line care.

Caroline is glad to be able to further her education.

“Getting certified in my area shows that I am knowledgeable and competent to perform the skills in my department,” she stated. “This benefits our patients and community be displaying a higher level of competence showing nursing’s dedication to quality patient care at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.”

Devenne Leiss, Caroline’s partner in the Chemotherapy and Infusion Center at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center, who became a CRNI in 2014, is excited for her colleague.

“Worldwide, there are only 3,000 certified infusion nurses, and CPMC is lucky to have 3! Obtaining an infusion certification is challenging but increases patient safety and quality of care. We are proud of Caroline for doing what it takes to obtain this important certification,” stated Leiss.

Caroline has been a nurse for 12 years and has worked at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center since 2016.

The Chemotherapy and Infusion Center at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center offers a wide variety of treatments for cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, immune deficiency, and other conditions requiring infusion and immunotherapy.
