The Badger boys soccer team is on a roll. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, they hosted Immaculate Conception, winning 2-1, then had back-to-back shutout games last Friday and Saturday, with a 6-0 against Grangeville High School, followed by a 4-0 against Orofino High School.
Preston Mcleish and Dalin Foster scored the two goals for the Badgers during the home game on Tuesday.
During the game against Grangeville, Ben Tadlock scored two goals, Daniel Walker scored two, and Carson Spencer added one.
“Dalin Foster had a beautiful 60 yard free kick that beat the goalkeeper in the top corner of the goal,” said Badgers coach Brycen Lunger. “We had 39 shots and the game and our keeper only had eight saves, so we dominated the game.”
Josh Beazer and Porter Schulte combined for the shutout.
“Our defense has been playing great,” said Lunger.
During the game against Orofino, Carson Spencer had a goal, Daniel Walker had two goals, and Dalin Foster scored on a corner kick. They led 4-0 at the end of the first half, so the younger team members got a chance at some play time.
Porter Schulte registered five saves in keeper going in at halftime and Josh Beazer didn’t touch the ball the first half playing keeper.
“The goalies and defense pitched two impressive shutouts, the midfield controlled the field and the offense put goals in the back of the net,” said Lunger. “When our team is going they are really fun to watch. We have a lot of talented players.”
