CLARK FORK — The Lady Cats swept Kootenai for the second time this season Tuesday night.

It was a quick match that only took about 45 minutes as Clark Fork rolled over the Warriors 25-8, 25-10, 25-5.

Clark Fork head coach Michelle Valliere was proud of her team’s effort.

“They did good tonight,” she said. “A lot of times its hard to play a team like that, you can kind of play down to their level but we didn’t do that. We kind of just kept on our side of the court.”

Freshman setter Paige Valliere had 17 assists in the match, senior middle hitter Sophie McMahon served seven aces and senior outside hitter Ellie Kiebert tallied five digs.

Sophomore Caiya Yanik finished with four kills and one block and senior outside hitter Abbie Anderson added a block.

The Lady Cats (9-1, 8-0) get a full week off before they hit the road to face Bonners Ferry next Tuesday and Priest River next Wednesday.

“I’m definitely looking forward to playing both those teams,” Michelle Valliere said. “I think it will be a lot more like the competition we saw in Genesee and I feel like maybe the girls were a little discouraged by that tournament so it will be good to get some play in against those teams and hopefully do well and build the girls confidence a little more again.”
