Losing loved ones discussed at Lifetree Café
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 5 years, 3 months AGO
Strategies for surviving the death of a loved one will be shared at Lifetree Café on Monday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m.
The program, titled “Surviving the Death of a Loved One: Finding Peace in Your Time of Loss,” includes a film featuring Susan Burton, a woman who lost an infant child to sudden infant death syndrome.
Although it’s been more than a decade since the loss of her child, Burton says “Emily is still a part of our family and our life. You can’t pretend the loss didn’t happen — you’ve got to cope with it.” Burton will discuss what proved helpful as she moved through grief and found peace and healing.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café meets at Jalapeno’s Mexican Restaurant, 314 North Second Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.
