Play to your roots

COEUR d'ALENE— Folk, Celtic, Scandinavian and similar music enthusiasts are invited to the Coeur d’Alene Public Library on Oct. 29, at 5:30 p.m. for a jam session.

The Northern “Roots Music” Jam will be held in the library’s Shirley Parker Storyroom in the children’s library.

This will be a “ceili house” circle-style jam. Bring your instruments and your songs, tell a joke or a story. Participants can also suggest songs they want to hear that someone else can lead or they're welcome to just come and listen.

Jams are planned at the library the last Tuesday of each month.
