Guinan, Mitchell, Lawrence: The change we need

Are wasteful spending, perpetually torn-up roads, environmental abuse, an anti-business climate, and divisiveness concerns for you?

If your answer is yes, then you have an opportunity this November to re-make the Sandpoint City Council.

Both the mayor’s seat and three city council seats are up for election, and three exceptional candidates have stepped up to be your voice on your next Sandpoint City Council. Jacque Guinan, Shannon Mitchell, and Ken Lawrence are offering voters a welcome alternative: fiscal responsibility, community respect, and new ideas for reducing wasteful spending and prioritizing issues like sewage disposal, a reduction of excessive fees and regulations, and valuing the input of Sandpoint residents and business-owners and placing their concerns first.

With few exceptions, the current Sandpoint City Council has lost its way. From divisiveness to fiscal irresponsibility to anti-business policies, it’s clear new voices and fresh ideas are needed. On Nov. 5, we urge you to consider casting your vote for those who will be your voice: Jacque Guinan and Shannon Mitchell for city council, and Ken Lawrence for mayor.

Together, we can create a Sandpoint City Council that works for all.
