Notice of Public Hearings Notice is hereby given that public hearings pursuant to Idaho Code and Dover City Code have been set for the Dover Planning and Zoning Commission on November 7, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Dover City Hall, 699 Lakeshore Ave., Dover, to consider the following: FILE SUP002-19 - KANIKSU LAND TRUST is requesting a special use permit for an outdoor recreation facility and park/community forest to include year-round recreation trails, equipment rental center, a community gathering space, and future potential education center and associated facilities. The 160-acre site is located at 11915 West Pine Street, in Section 19, Township 57 North, Range 2 West, B.M. The property is zoned Agriculture. FILE VAR004-19 - THE CITY OF DOVER is requesting a variance to allow for a 3-foot side yard setback, where 10 feet is required by Dover City Code, for construction of an attached chlorination building for the City of Dover water treatment plant. The site is located at 404 Becker Lane in Section 32, Township 57 North, Range 2 West, B.M. The property is zoned Residential. The public is encouraged to attend the hearings or provide written response. Any written comment greater than 1 page must be submitted at least 6 days prior to the hearing. CITY OF DOVER, IDAHO SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE # 165 Title 12, Chapter 6, and Appendix D, Definitions, Dover City Code ORDINANCE REGARDING STRUCTURES & FENCING TITLE: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DOVER, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING TITLE 12 (DOVER ZONING REGULATIONS), CHAPTER 6, AND APPENDIX D, DEFINITIONS TO: ESTABLISH FENCE SETBACK STANDARDS; PROVIDE A NEW FENCE DEFINITION; AMEND THE STRUCTURE DEFINITION; AND PROVIDE A SAVINGS CLAUSE, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. SUMMARY: The City of Dover adopted Ordinance # 165 to: amend Dover City Code, Title 12 (Dover Zoning Regulations), Section 12-6-12, Paragraph D, "Yards and Building Height," and Appendix D, Definitions, to: establish maximum fence height at 7 feet along property lines, with an exception for a maximum 4 feet in height within 20' of the natural, ordinary, or artificial high water mark of a water body; to provide a new fence definition and to amend the structure definition to exclude fences not taller than 7 feet; to provide a savings clause, severability, and an effective date upon publication of this summary in one issue of the official newspaper.
