Authorities investigate family shooting in Trego

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting involving two family members in the Trego area.
According to information from the Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County deputies responded Wednesday evening, Oct. 16, to a man who had been shot by a family member in the Trego area. The man initially was cared for by first responders with Eureka Volunteer Ambulance and Lincoln County deputies and then transported by air with A.L.E.R.T.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrived to investigate the incident.
The investigation is still ongoing. Eureka Police Department initially responded with and assisted with the investigation.
