For many people, a trip to the laundromat is not something they look forward to doing.
But Ronna LaPierre, a Superior businesswoman is out to change that. Now in its fourth week of operation, LaPierre’s business brings some home comforts to the laundromat.
The clothes cleaning facility, called the Superior Laundry, replaces the town’s only laundromat facility, which burned down earlier this year. Located at 30 Mullan Road West on the town’s northside, Supeior Laundry features new, state-of-the-art washers and dryers, all of which accept credit cards.
For those dreading doing laundry, LaPierre included a children’s play area with a table, chairs and several toys. She also included a living room-like area complete with comfortable couches and chairs and a large big screen HD TV that allows customers to kick back and watch a variety of shows, including college and pro football games while their clothes are being cleaned.
“When the old laundromat burned down there were lots of people with nowhere to go,” LaPierre said. “Superior was a town without a laundromat.”
In addition to the comforts inside the laundry, customers can also wander next door to the Four Aces bar and grill, also owned by LaPierre, for a drink and a variety of dining choices.
The laundromat is open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.
