COEUR d’ALENE — The Badger varsity volleyball team saw its 2019 season end in a hard-fought, five-set playoff opener at Coeur d’Alene Charter.

The host Panthers pulled out a 16-25, 25-21, 22-25, 26-24, 15-9 win over the Badgers on Monday night to advance in the 3A district tournament. Charter went on to lose to top-seeded Kellogg on Tuesday night.

Last week, the Badgers honored their seniors with a Senior Night match against Intermountain League rival Timberlake. The visiting Tigers topped the Badgers in both teams’ regular-season finales.
