German food and drink to be featured at Bier Haus

With a Bavarian theme and German food and beverages, Bier Haus will open Thursday at 515 Sherman Ave.
In the building which formerly housed Camera Corral (which has moved to Northwest Boulevard), the place seats about 40 people with a seasonal outdoor beer garden behind the restaurant. Managers are Lorie Nell and Patrick Duran.
Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Phone 208-966-4301.
Four businesses planned
for The Northern
With 294 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments under construction, The Northern at Coeur d’Alene Place (near the Maverik at Ramsey Road at Hanley Avenue) has two roadside buildings with room for up to eight business spaces in 10,438 square feet.
Businesses that will open include Poke Works with Hawaiian food (check www.pokeworks.com), Union Coffee, Stretch Lab and 32 Below Frozen Yogurt.

Kelso Law Office
moves to Hayden
Emphasizing workers’ compensation and employment law, Kelso Law Office has relocated to expanded offices in Suite 8 at 660 W. Capstone Court in Hayden.
Starr Kelso’s 35 years includes extensive experience with representation of self-insured employers, insurance companies and injured workers on the state and federal levels.

- A Wake Up Call Coffee place will be in the former Taco Time area at 2517 N. Fourth.
- The new Bakery by the Lake will be on Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

- AutoZone is building a new place at Highway 54 and Sylvan Lane in Athol.
- A new pub-eatery will open next to Vertical Earth on East Sherman.
- A Burger King is under construction at 3827 N. Ramsey (just south of Kathleen).
- Coeur d’Alene Vision Source will move from 850 Ironwood to a new building at 3879 N. Schreiber Way in November.
- A new building for Idaho Central Credit Union is under construction at 1327 W. Appleway.
- Bi-Mart will open a new store in the former Stein’s Family Foods building at 16102 N. Highway 41 in Rathdrum.
- Seasonal store Spirit Halloween is open in the Silver Lake Mall.
- The former Burger King building at 216 Appleway has been sold to another fast-food vendor. Rumors are it’s Carl’s Jr., which would move.
- The new Hardwick Hardware is under construction at 3820 E. Mullan in Post Falls.
- A new place in the northeast corner of U.S. 95 and Lancaster will be a Golden Glow Coffee Shop.
- Watch for an interesting development just north of the Government Way Safeway. The developer already has put in a cool water feature and evidently plans to have a coffee stand, car lot and rock shop.
- A interesting place to see in Bozeman, Mont., is the Museum of the Rockies … near Montana State University.
