Jacque Guinan is the change the Sandpoint council needs

Jacque Guinan is the change Sandpoint City Council needs. On Nov. 5, you have a unique opportunity to change the face of the Sandpoint City Council. For the most part, the current board has lost it way, placing tourism above the needs of area residents and local businesses, who continue to struggle to stay afloat in the face of perpetually torn-up roads. Coupled with the parking nightmare that the downtown area has become, the road situation — that will reportedly now stretch into spring — makes patronizing local businesses increasingly difficult.
Jacque Guinan is running for city council to prioritize the needs of local residents and our business community as well as to help reign in excessive spending. She brings to the table experience with managing large budgets as well as small business ownership. She also uncovered the current mayor’s self-serving budget line-item to fight “racism” in Sandpoint, a manufactured crisis the mayor has continually flamed, directly related to the division and anger we now see within our community.
It’s time the Sandpoint City Council represented, and respected, all voters, not just those with whom they agree.
For all these reasons and more, I urge you to cast your vote for Jacque Guinan on Nov. 5.
