CHILD: An inspirational moment
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 6 years, 10 months AGO
Just recently I was waiting in a car around the corner from Fred Meyer’s. I watched as an older lady emerged from a shop with several large empty cardboard boxes. Most likely, she was moving. Just behind her toddled a little boy about 4 years old. He was “helping” his grandmother by carrying two boxes precariously perched in his arms.
I sat there absolutely thrilled to witness that tiny tot setting the two boxes down, then thoughtfully turning the top box around and fitting it down into the bottom box. He picked up his well-packed load and continued on his way to their car. Brilliant!
A 4-year-old recognizing a problem and quickly solving it. I predict that that child may go on to design a great cathedral or win the Nobel prize for science someday. It made my day, needless to say.
