COEUR d’ALENE — Sydney Moore scored in stoppage time as North Idaho College salvaged a 1-1 tie with Tacoma Community Conference in a nonconference women’s soccer match Sunday at Eisenwinter Field.
Maya Lewis played in a corner kick from the right corner. After rattling around for a bit in front of goal, the ball bounced out to Moore, who shot it between the legs of a Titan defender and it sneaked past the goalie for the tie, seconds before the final whistle.
Raquel Prado-Huerta scored for Tacoma in the 82nd minute on a nice bending ball under the crossbar after NIC fouled just outside the penalty area.
NIC coach Dan Hogan said Tacoma keeper Aliya Enciso made a couple of big saves in the first half — one on a point-blank shot from Lewis, and the second on a long shot by Sydnie Clark that Enciso tipped over the crossbar.
NIC (1-1-1) plays Rogue Community College on Saturday in Medford, Ore., then plays Lane Community College in Eugene on Sunday.
