Mitchell, a 5-7 freshman setter from Lake City High, had a season-high 44 assists for the Antelopes (3-0) against Rutgers last Saturday in Phoenix. Mitchell had 39 assists in each of the team’s previous matches against New Mexico and Northern Colorado. Grand Canyon will compete in the Gonzaga Invitational starting on Friday in Spokane.
