BFHS senior among top swimmers in backstroke, freestyle

MOSCOW — Bonners Ferry High School swimmer Julia Cummings competed in the Saturday, Sept. 7 Ice Breaker swim meet in Moscow.

Cummings placed third out of 26 finishers in the girls 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.38, and second out of 20 finishers in the girls 100-yard backstroke (1:03.40).

“Julia swam the 100 Backstroke faster this weekend than she did at the state championships last year,” said coach Greg Jackson.

The next swim meet is Sept. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene.
