A Post Falls man who goes by “P Dub” is in jail for allegedly selling methamphetamines and prescription drugs to a police informant during a four-month investigation by authorities.

Patrick F. Wallace, 39, who is called “Dub,” or “P Dub” by his acquaintances, is charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, which can carry up to 15 years in prison. He’s also charged with two misdemeanors, including having drug paraphernalia and frequenting a place where drugs are used.

According to police reports, an informant for the Kootenai County Drug Task Force made three controlled drug buys on East Plaza Drive in Post Falls where Wallace lives in an RV trailer.

The informant twice paid $60 for about 1.75 grams of meth and earlier this month paid $100 for three grams.

Police said that when they arrested Wallace around 2 p.m. Friday, they found methamphetamine, baggies, scales, more than $670 in cash and 24 hydrocodone pills in the trailer, including inside a book safe that looked like a dictionary.

Wallace told authorities he is a middle man for bigger dealers and that he usually does not sell quantities of more than a few grams, and only to select people who want to party.

First District Magistrate Anna Eckhart set bail at $30,000 for Wallace, who said he does landscaping and maintenance in exchange for staying at the RV and the use of a car.

He has lived in Post Falls for six years and said he would lose his job if he could not post bail.

Eckhart assigned him a public defender.
