Firefighters endorse Wood, Gookin, English

For the past 15 years, the Coeur d’Alene Firefighters have had a Political Action Committee that has interviewed candidates asking for our endorsement that have run for various elected offices, as well as, running bonds in support of public safety. We take the guardianship of this city very seriously and appreciate candidates who are willing to do the same.

The Coeur d’Alene Firefighters endorse the following people for Coeur d’Alene City Council: Christie Wood for Seat One, Dan Gookin for Seat Three, and Dan English for Seat Five.

Christie Wood has served our nation as a veteran of the armed services and our community as a Coeur d’Alene Police officer. She has shown courage and compassion, honor and dignity during her years of service.

Dan Gookin is a community focused councilmember that methodically approaches his fiduciary responsibilities. He does a great job at balancing the budget and supporting the city’s demands of today and vision for Coeur d’Alene’s tomorrow.

Dan English is a public servant through and through. As a previous Coeur d’Alene firefighter and a Kootenai County Sheriff deputy, serving our community is more than just words for Dan, it was his calling. He has a wealth of experience as a native of Coeur d’Alene and we appreciate his willingness to serve again.

Coeur d’Alene’s best days are ahead of us and we proudly endorse Christie Wood, Dan Gookin, and Dan English for Coeur d’Alene City Council.
