COEUR d’ALENE — Coeur d’Alene residents, meet your candidates.

And if you’re not free to attend a forum Oct. 3, you can meet them on TV a little later.

The Coeur d’Alene Press, with a big assist from Renata McLeod and the CDATV Committee, is sponsoring a City Council candidate forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Community Room. The venue is in the downstairs of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library.

All eight candidates have been invited. Christie Wood and Elaine Price are seeking Seat 1; Dan Gookin and Michael Pereira, Seat 3; and Dan English, Tom Morgan, Roger Huntman and Lacey Moen, Seat 5. Huntman said this week he will not participate in the forum.

The forum will be moderated by Press Editor Mike Patrick. Assistant Editor Andy Obermueller and Reporter Devin Weeks will question the candidates.

CDATV will record the event and televise it multiple times before the Nov. 5 local elections. The forum will also be streamed live on the city’s Facebook page.
