MOSCOW — Six different players scored in Sandpoint girls soccer’s 7-0 victory over Moscow on Tuesday.

“I was very impressed wth our entire team,” Head Coach Conor Baranski said. “It was a very unified success.”

The Bulldogs found the back of the net for the first time in the 12th minute when sophomore midfielder Piper Frank scored. Only seven minutes later, Frank found senior forward Emi Lynch to put Sandpoint up 2-0 20 minutes into the game.

Senior midfielder Hannah Eddy gave the Bulldogs a 3-0 advantage with only 10 minutes remaining in the first half to give the team a decisive advantage after 40 minutes of play.

Sandpoint didn’t slow down in the second half and continued their offensive onslaught as junior Aspen Larson fired home a goal six mintues into the second half.

Junior forward Jordie Breeden added to the scoreboard in the 68th minute and Eddy tallied her second goal of the night seven minutes to give the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead.

With only one minute left in the match, sophomore Kylie Burnett was able to notch her first varsity goal to solidify the 7-0 blowout victory.

Olivia Lynch also assisted on the fifth Sandpoint goal in her first minutes of varsity action.

Despite the victory, Baranski said there is room for improvement.

“Moscow provided some problems in the sense that they high pressed,” he said. “They were really good at getting numbers around the ball and in the first half we could’ve been better at solving that problem, finding a side and giving ourselves more space.”

Sandpoint (6-1-0) will stay on the road to play Lake City at 4 p.m. today.
