JFK: Turning over in grave
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 5 years, 4 months AGO
The U.S. had a president, JFK, who was elected in 1960 and was assassinated in late November 1963. Many political commentators in years after his death have said that if his administration were in existence now, it would be considered ultra conservative compared to either of our major political parties in existence now. I am sure if JFK was alive now, he’d probably be horrified to see how American politics has gone downhill with his former political party, now mostly aligning with socialism.
It appears that many people don’t know or care about what socialism is and what it represents. Taxes alone would go up to extremely high levels. I can imagine what that would do to our almost $23 trillion debt, plus imposing undue excessive debt on all Americans. Socialism is a close near cousin of communism.
The country now is doing very well in most categories, mostly due to our current president, Donald Trump, and his quality leadership and toughness. I forgot to mention that JFK was a lifelong member of NRA and was a strong Second Amendment supporter, which would be an atrocity to current socialist Democrats. God bless America!
