Rosholt receives Hall of Fame honor

Former Sandpoint High School wrestler Jake Rosholt has been elected to the 2019 Inland Northwest Sports Hall of Fame.
Rosholt attended SHS from 1998-2001 and was a three-time state champion. He helped lead the Bulldogs to two team state titles and in 2001 won the 189-pound high school national championship. He compiled a 131-8 overall record during his career at Sandpoint.
Coming out of high school, Rosholt was the No. 1 recruited wrestler and he chose to attend Oklahoma State University. In Stillwater, Rosholt won two NCAA individual titles at 197 pounds and one at 184 pounds. He also helped guide Oklahoma State to four straight national championships and had a 105-20 collegiate record.
Other members of the 2019 class include Bart Templeman, John Tuft, Ron Cox, Dan Fitzgerald, Jason Hanson, Jack Thompson and Buzzie Welch.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held 4 p.m. Oct. 29 at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
