The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Division of Fire Fuels Program is planning on conducting a prescribed burn Wednesday, four miles south of Ronan and south of Mollman Pass Trail Road.

This grass burn is approximately 900 acres. The objective of this burn is to rejuvenate shrubs, grasses, and forbs to any degree, using prescribed fire and chemical applications in grass ecosystems.

Tribal officials ask motorists to be careful when driving on U.S. 93 during the burn, as smoke could be a factor for visibility.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this notice please contact Division of Fire at 676-2550 or contact C.T. Camel, Fire Prevention Specialist, at 406-676-2550 ext. 6407 or email: ct.camel@cskt.org
