Golfers take gold, silver at Polson Invite

The Lady Dog golfers took first overall last Monday at the Polson Invitational.
Ella Shaw, the team’s top finisher, took second individually, just five strokes behind Corvallis’ Macee Greenwood. Shaw finished the day with an 80.
Anyah Cripe was the next highest Lady Dog, carding an 89 for seventh place. Kendall Reed came in ninth.
On the boys side, Cameron Kahle came in three strokes short of winner Trey Kelley of Polson. Kahle shot a 75, good for third place.
Andrew Brozek took fifth and John Nix took seventh.
The girls combined score was 366, good for first place, while the boys finished just 10 points behind Hamilton at 325, good for second.
The team competed down in Hamilton on Saturday, but results were not available.
This week the Bulldogs will face off in the Western A Divisional tournament at King Ranch in Frenchtown, starting at 10 a.m.
The Class A State Championship begins the following Thursday in Laurel.
