Fuel station, strip mall planned at Atlas/Hanley
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 5 years, 3 months AGO
The 32 acres of Hern Industrial Park on the southwest corner of Hanley Avenue and Atlas Road will see major changes in the near future.
John Hern started Hern Iron Works there in 1971, and son Jack Hern expanded it to Hern Recycling (of metals) in 2010. His three and a half acres of Hanley Storage is now under construction with storage spaces of 10x20 and 14x40 available in the spring.
The east side of the property will be branded The Foundry and will include a fuel station, neighborhood market and a retail strip mall. Phase 2 will incorporate larger retail buildings.
“As more residential places move next to us, we are taking steps to continue the family use of the land in conjunction with the changing needs of our area,” Hern said. Check with him at 208-765-3115.
